I’ve decided that if there were ever a book or a movie about my life, I’d call it “A Change of Plans.” I learned very young that the planned-out life often does a 180 shift on you and ends up completely different.
There were things I thought I wanted, and things I really did want, in life. I have none of those things. As I go through life it seems that I always seem to achieve not-quite-what I had in mind. But hey, that doesn’t mean I’m not happy with it in the end.
I am so grateful that my life is what it is today. Someday I’ll stop planning altogether.
Allowed myself to fall in love.
Falling in love.
I like to get completely lost in foreign countries. It hurts my feet sometimes but it’s worth it.

‘No end to the hostility,
Know they want to be somewhere else…
No strangers to brutality,
Know they want to be someone else…’
