Get Away

It’s probably easier not to let them hook a string to you in the first place.

Transcriptorial: fly / just get away / if you think a string can hold you / you probably deserve it

The strings could be just protecting them. Makes you think if the said string tier had their best interest at heart.

how easy would that untying be? i guess the readers would know.

the tie only exists because the readers want it to.

the tie? i don’t know, ask it … if it even has a voice.

all i know is, everyone wants to be free.

…and that includes me.

So many of my friends cut all ties after about 3 years of friendship/job/relationship/etc. They flee forward, on to the next thing. So afraid of permanence, because they’re “missing something” somewhere else.

In 20 years or so they will find all those “strings” were what could have kept their lives from unravelling.

Whose team will they play on when they can’t run fast anymore and no one chooses them?
