Hot Cold

Glass might show no sign of how fragile it has become, which is perhaps another way of saying it endures things gracefully. If you can hold out until the very last but then shatter completely, have you seemed strong or weak?

It is good that bodies and minds and hearts, if not metaphors, are made not much like glass.

How can you trust something that looks strong all the time, regardless of how strong it really is?

Glass is seen as neither weak nor strong. But when it shatters, at least it’s heard.
