Geometry Waiting
What can last forever, waiting: geometry, the edge of the universe, making shapes out of shapes. Wave forms written over eternity.
What do you think of the idea that some of the objects you see in the night sky ceased to exist long ago? Their light is still streaming out like a ghost.

You just defined ‘fractals’.
At the time I was visiting a radio telescope facility and something about the shape of, and shapes in, the telescopes struck me.
I was wondering about how the shape of the instrument might suggest something about (what we know about) the thing it is measuring, and also thinking about how patterns and distributions reappear on many scales — as you say, fractals.
