Confessions

How much do any of us know about why we do what we do? How often do you find yourself watching yourself doing something that baffles you?

Transcriptorial: I have no idea why I'm doing this.

I wish I could feel this way. I just stop myslf from ever doing that so I hate myself for being weak. But I’ll redeem myself by being who I am. A stray dog without the leash called fear.

I was never one for making confessions to others. Especially when I thought that they might harm a relationship. But I’ve learned being honest and confessing those things that obviously mean enough to you to worry about them is usually best. If things don’t work out afterward, then it probably wasn’t meant to be.

Do I have to have a reason? Sometimes if you have a reason for everything you do, your reason may leave or change and you might stop doing something you actually really enjoy. Like love. Love that has a “reason” is conditional. If you lose the “reason” you can lose the love.

One of my favourite bumperstickers is: Commit random acts of kindness and senseless beauty. Let others find the reason in the act if they choose to, just as each reader finds a reason in a work of writing, or art, or whatever.

Be.

How much do any of us know about why we do what we do?

I do what I do because I see purpose in it.

How often do you find yourself watching yourself doing something that baffles you?

Often. but it baffles me not because I don’t see my purpose in doing it. it baffles me because i totally know what i am doing and why i am doing it but most often it elicits the kind of reaction that totally makes me wanna laugh, cry or puke.

why do i write?

because i see purpose in it.

am i baffled by it?

no.

just a simple no.

you, why do you?
